It’s powered by one 12-gram CO2 cartridge - housed in the drop-free, metal magazine - and gets about 65 shots per fill. It produces a realistic kick when discharged. And, once the last shot in the mag leaves the barrel, the slide locks back, just like a real-steel 1911. The .177-cal version weighs in at 2 lbs., giving it a heft almost identical to that of its firearm predecessor. The controls - from its single-action trigger and functioning grip safety, to its slide lock, thumb safety and magazine release - all feel and function like the powder-burner upon which it is based.
